About Us:

The NC3Rs, the UK’s national organization for the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement), was established in 2004 to accelerate the development and adoption of new models and tools that minimize the use of animals in research and testing. With an annual budget of approximately £10 million, the NC3Rs is primarily funded by the government. About the Role:

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team. You should be passionate about creating engaging and compelling graphics and visual materials that breathe life into our content. 

Your work will span from social media and website assets to corporate reports and figures for scientific posters and publications. In addition, you will provide guidance to our communications team on transforming complex technical information into visually engaging content, including branded icons and other graphic materials. 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Act as a brand guardian to ensure correct application of the NC3Rs branding in all external activities, while also advising stakeholders on its application.

·       Collaborate with the Head of Communications to produce corporate documents and reports in alignment with the NC3Rs branding.

·       Create digital assets for our websites and social media channels to visually enhance project and resource presentations.

·       Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to design a variety of materials, including infographics, icons, and graphic content for presentations, publications, and reports.

·       Assist the NC3Rs team in designing materials for corporate and external events (e.g., posters, banners, delegate packs). 

About you:

·       Educated to a degree level in graphic design, art, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).

·      Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator (or equivalent) is essential.

·      Experience in producing simple user-centred designs and creative and innovative visual solutions to present complex information is essential.

·       Ability to produce engaging and impactful report designs, combining large amounts of text with visual elements to give a professional and easily digestible feel is essential.

·       Expertise in Premiere Pro (or equivalent) would be desirable. 

Further Information: 

The Graphic Designer will report to Head of Communications. Salary will be in the range of £32,005 - £35,143 annum (plus London allowances if applicable) depending on skills and experience

Based anywhere in the UK, this will be a hybrid role working from home and requiring regular travel to institutions across the UK and the NC3Rs London office. 

The successful candidate will be subject to security checks.
