Lead Designer at MemberUp

MemberUp is a 100% remote company! We have a team of 20 (and growing) based all around the world.

About the role We are looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to build upon our current features and lead the overall design of our roadmap. You have a passion and experience for working with creator led businesses and understand the business model and product growth mindset.

What you'll be doing

  • Work directly with our product owner and engineering team to design and review implementations of new features

  • Design scalable and reusable components that promotes efficient development and clean aesthetic

  • Identify areas for improvement in the design and take ownership, such as making recommendations, interaction improvements and overall experience improvement.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, such as providing regular status updates and actively seeking feedback.

  • Align work with customer value by using feedback to prioritize features.

  • Balance priorities and seek guidance when needed to make informed decisions.

What you'll need to be successful

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications in an agile, startup environment.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Sketch. We currently have all of our designs in sketch and would like to make the transition to Figma over time.

  • Highly organized and detailed. We are looking for someone that is continually organizing and updating components/symbols to make sure all states are up to date and accurate.

  • Experience with Interactions, Animation, illustration, icon creation and working with development component libraries like MUI preferred.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills are a must

  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently.

  • A humble, collaborative, customer-focused, and highly curious approach to problem-solving.
